We take pride in keeping the Remembering Scotland At War website (including the Community area) respectful, pleasant, informative and enjoyable for members of all ages. Please read the following guidelines before getting involved.

Please bear in mind that the Community area of Remembering Scotland At War is "public" and other users will have access to your posted material and might copy, modify or distribute it. By submitting or posting content here, you are representing that you are the owner of such material or have authorization to distribute it.

Images and Language

The Remembering Scotland At War community is family-friendly. There are young and older users. Images and language should be respectful of all generations. Obscene images and vulgar language are not allowed. This constitutes the use of any kind of offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate material deemed unsafe for all members. Inappropriate images and language will be removed and users will be warned.

You agree to only post images and / or other material to which you have exclusive copyright, or permission from the copyright holder that you are able to present to Remembering Scotland At War administration. Under no circumstances will any instance of copyright infringement be tolerated.

Spam

All posts are read by the Remembering Scotland At War administration team. If questionable content is caught, it will immediately be edited or removed for futher investigation. While you are allowed to promote other web sites in your posts, this should be within moderation and within the themes of Remembering Scotland At War. Repeat violators will be permanently banned.

Personal Attacks

In order to maintain a positive atmosphere, no personal attacks or insults will be tolerated. While discussions may become heated, there is no excuse to resort to attacks or insults. There is a difference between a passionate, respectful discussion and one that delves into personal matters. Think of it as discussing issues, not individuals. When the line is crossed, the discussion may be closed by the administration team. Violators will be warned and potentially banned.

The Final Word

If you have a problem or a complaint, direct it to the administrator, not to the boards. The appropriate actions will be taken. We reserve the right to ban flagrant offenders when deemed necessary, with or without prior warning.

Cross-Posting

If you have something to post and you're not sure which board it belongs in, do not post it in more than one board. If the administrators think it would fit better in another location, it will be moved there. Duplicate threads only serve to create confusion.

Multiple Accounts

If you forget your password, use the password recovery tool, in which case you will be able to reset your password, given that you have access to the e-mail associated with your account. If you are still unable to login, contact the administrator.
